At the dipping sound of a guitar string
I remember where I hid the treasure
Wishing to throw it all away when I find
No forest faeries enchanting this place
The dripping red autumn leaf faded to orange
Unearthing a beating corpse enclosing a spirit
A familiar face shocks me out of slumber
a hole drowned up to a puddle by the storm
The treasure these tranced silent eyes dug in
The moist cold against my skin as I lay down brings me comfort
This autumn forest encapsuled in a dirty white sky
Vibrant colors seem to fade as if a dream
Fear of scarring was the lying alibi
This empty haven my soul constantly seeks
Distant voices offer me an escape from this coma
Peculiarly, this all feels an extension of me.
