What is it about today;
that makes me want to hide away
as I'm taken in by the white sky;
enough clouds to hide me while I fly
----
empty spaces where I would like to reside;
blank space that I want to fill;
but the serenity this might kill;
no matter, I will stare sleepy-eyed;
what I cannot have I will erase;
I will throw away what I can't replace;
while the cold may scare me to dream of the toasty frost;
Meanwhile, in the vast white serenity, my eyes remain lost.

Dreams spoken through
out there by the sea
I never felt alone
Who was watching over me?
- - - - - - - - - - -
I emerged from a hazy path
was handed luggage and told
oh don't forget this, miss
walking along suddenly realized
where were my clothes?
fading it seems. .
[how vulnerable I became, more plain
reduced to my essence
could not change it and pressed on instead]
the small crowd dispersed
onward along the shore
I seemed to be empty-handed
except for this little fist
my clenched hand feared the water
as I walked on the aquamarine
don't know how I got so far
into the blue-green
walking on glass it seemed
perhaps crystal clear rock
reaching a transparent podium
facing the deep blue
[My heart shows it's purity in a dream
I walked on water to reach you
God-given hope, I reached the destination]
I have this here I asked
could you do what you will with it please
I've traveled this far road and I
fear for it's fragility
[forgotten wrongs,
innocently
found something within that would not crumble]
place it here ma'am
this is the last time you'll see
now our sculpture seems complete
out there by the sea
I never felt alone
Who was watching over me?
- for a moment your face was clearly seen
it seems a miracle just happened
oblivious little me
now there's nothing left but
a crystal platform bordering the coral reef
thought something should feel missing
reaching you, it is all total
Release . . . . . . .
I do not know who would believe
the story of you and me
now the magic's gone
but at least I set your soul free
or was it me?
I never felt alone
Who was watching over me?

God Gives
Your being is like a hole
that's been dug so long ago
The perfect shape, so accustomed to my figure
Any interaction of you leads me to despair
Blinding me, seeming subtle
Yet dragging me down so strong
truly your essence slipping into my soul,
mixing with my being,
poison in my veins
The more I slip into you I confuse nostalgia with despair
You drag me to the underworld
The lies your angel of death whispers to me
Confusing blinding lies that I might want you
That I ever wanted you at all
Whispers of "Lia, you want this"
I will lose without you
I will lose with you
I cannot go back in time to never have met you
To be told it is better to love and lose
To believe the best lie this world has ever known
My eyes now open
A chain addicting cycle
the only release all that can be found
Ripping it off the flesh of my heart
Only remedy is to scab over and heal
Your lust, your lies, your hell
Materialistic selfishness
All of you that does not belong to me
I am not of this world
One day I must leave and make it home
Chains won't withstand the strength of my wings
tear off parts of my flesh but I will find redemption
(Fly caught in a web)
(Does once in a while manage an escape)
And if the freedom in the cold of the night sky
confuses itself with emptiness and fear
Just cry out
Lord God
"You take away"
that's been dug so long ago
The perfect shape, so accustomed to my figure
Any interaction of you leads me to despair

Our Road
I followed that two-lane road with my eyes,
till the familiar pattern of dashes faded.
Instead of two joined with a glimmer,
all that was left was a broken line.
Without letting go of it's rhythm,
I could see it still
-and then it reappeared.

Do you still love me?
The sky shows its true face today, as the grey drenches my cheek.
I stopped crying last night and found myself staring blankly at the ceiling.
I guess my heart stopped fighting the forming cracks when it finally died.
Like a fully melted piece of ice I was forced to stare all the way through,
like a dying animal that lost the fight, I am the world that remains hollow once life is gone.
So here I sit, empty inside, but feeling free because at least I cannot feel anymore.

Autumn Trances
At the dipping sound of a guitar string
I remember where I hid the treasure
Wishing to throw it all away when I find
No forest faeries enchanting this place
The dripping red autumn leaf faded to orange
Unearthing a beating corpse enclosing a spirit
A familiar face shocks me out of slumber
a hole drowned up to a puddle by the storm
The treasure these tranced silent eyes dug in
The moist cold against my skin as I lay down brings me comfort
This autumn forest encapsuled in a dirty white sky
Vibrant colors seem to fade as if a dream
Fear of scarring was the lying alibi
This empty haven my soul constantly seeks
Distant voices offer me an escape from this coma
Peculiarly, this all feels an extension of me.
